Job Description

-Deliver excellent returns and enhance firm’s reputation as a premier seed fund to include working with early-stage startups on key strategic areas through involvement on boards of directors including fundraising, go-to-market, product strategy, and hiring. 
-Perform research in the technology sector to identify new investments and perform due diligence to support firm’s partners to help identify, decide on and win opportunities to invest in the best tech startups. 
-Help identify and execute opportunities to propel key portfolio companies to greater success including business development, customer introductions, financial analysis and fundraising planning utilizing expertise on executing private company exit transactions (M&A / IPO) in the technology sector. 
-Quickly evaluate and respond to a high volume of initial introductions, including holding initial screening conversations with ventures and evaluating those opportunities. 
-Evaluate and suggest tech trends on an ongoing basis through reading, research and synthesis. 
-Work with partners to execute world-class due diligence including meeting notes, references, product and technical due diligence, competitive landscape research, market sizing and financial evaluation which will include building financial models to project private company financials using Microsoft excel. 
-Use of Capital IQ, Pitchbook and Crunchbase to perform market analysis and research for internal and external purposes in order to help identify and track and most promising frontiers and specific companies for potential investment using existing and new systems. 
-Enhance firm’s network, marketing and communications. 
-Will travel 10% US to attend board meetings.

 

-Requires Bachelor’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Business Administration, Finance or closely related and five (5) yrs. (post-degree, progressive) exp. in Job Offered or related.

-Experience must have included Working with early-stage startups on key strategic areas through involvement on boards of directors including fundraising, go-to-market, product strategy, and hiring;
-Performing research in the technology sector to identify new investments and perform due diligence; 
-Use of Capital IQ, Pitchbook and Crunchbase to perform market analysis and research for internal and external purposes;
-Executing on M&A transactions in the technology sector; 
-and Building financial models to project private company financials using Microsoft excel.
