What You’ll Do at Arcol

• Work on a variety of feature areas across the Arcol product, including collaborative features like multi-user editing, version control, and conflict resolution.

• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to define the vision for the Arcol product.

• Improve performance and stability across Arcol’s platform, ensuring a seamless experience across larger teams and projects.

• Contribute to our engineering culture by mentoring teammates, sharing knowledge, and helping us push the boundaries of what’s possible in browser-based 3D design.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience partnering with design and product to build and ship user-facing applications.

• Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures, and a sense of how technologies we use work under the hood.

• Passion for intuitive user experiences and solving complex interaction challenges in 3D design tools.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills—Arcol is a highly team-oriented environment.

• And a subset of the following:

  • Experience with web technologies: TypeScript, JavaScript, React, WebAssembly, WebGL/WebGPU.

  • Experience with native technologies: Rust, C++, GPU programming.

  • Experience working with collaborative, multi-user applications, such as state synchronization, CRDT/OT, etc.

  • Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring other engineers.

  • Knowledge of architectural design workflows or CAD/BIM software.
