We are looking for a Senior Brand Designer to own and strengthen how the Spruce brand and value come to life across customer-facing and internal experiences. Working closely with Marketing and Product Design, you will turn product capabilities, customer needs, and company priorities into clear, compelling creative across our website, marketing campaigns, product launches, sales materials, events, and other channels.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable setting creative direction, building scalable brand systems, and producing the work needed to bring them to life. This role is part of the Design team and reports to the Head of Product and Design.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and evolve the Spruce visual brand across all customer-facing channels.
  • Build and maintain brand guidelines, templates, and asset libraries that make it easier for teams to produce consistent, high-quality work.
  • Serve as the primary designer for sprucehealth.com, including feature pages, case studies, campaigns, and ongoing improvements.
  • Partner with Marketing and Product Design to create product launch materials, polished UI assets, and compelling visual stories about Spruce.
  • Design creative for campaigns, email, social media, paid advertising, app stores, sales materials, print, and direct mail.
  • Develop conference materials, presentation templates, and other resources for internal teams.
  • Assist in the creation of motion and video content, including product demonstrations, animated GIFs, and educational materials.
  • Manage and provide art direction for external creative partners.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen the brand and improve existing materials.
  • Manage projects from intake through delivery, balancing priorities across teams and channels.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in brand, visual, or graphic design.
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft across web, digital, print, and physical experiences.
  • Experience developing or evolving a visual identity and applying it consistently across channels.
  • Strong typography, composition, color, layout, and visual storytelling skills.
  • The ability to take work from initial concept through to final production.
  • Strong project ownership, communication skills, and comfort managing multiple priorities independently.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, product, and engineering partners.
  • Experience contributing to video concepts and production.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.
  • Experience thoughtfully incorporating AI tools into the creative process without compromising human judgment, creativity, or craft. We also welcome candidates who are interested in developing this skill.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing for B2B software, prosumer audiences, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
  • Motion design, animation, and video editing skills.
  • Copywriting or editorial skills, with a strong sense for how words and visuals work together.

Work Environment and Benefits:

  • We are a remote-first company, but you must be located in California, New York, Oregon, Texas, or Alabama.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and retirement savings plan.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement in a rapidly growing company.
  • Collaborative and inclusive work culture focused on innovation and customer success.
