Binti, Inc is a Series A mission-driven start-up in Oakland, CA. We believe every child deserves the care and support of a loving family. Binti builds software with the goal of helping every child have a family. 400,000 children are currently in foster care in the US and millions are in orphanages around the world. 30% of the US’s homeless population and 25% of prison inmates are former foster youth. It’s clear that children who don’t have families don’t have a fair chance at life and Binti wants to change this. Binti is a mission-driven, technology company based in Oakland, California.
Binti’s mission is to increase equality of opportunity and help every person have a fair chance at life. With over 400,000 youth in foster care in the United States, we are reinventing child welfare through technology to help every child find a safe, loving, and stable family. We partner with state, county and private foster care agencies around the country, helping them recruit and approve foster parents more quickly and empowering social workers by eliminating administrative paperwork. Our software also helps match families with children and helps track services to biological families to get on their feet and reunify with their children. Binti currently works with over 140 foster care agencies across 22 states. Rhode Island, New Mexico, Hawaii and Washington have signed on to make our software their statewide solution.
Our goal is to be the end-to-end child welfare system solution. We have built three of the seven modules so far and are already seeing an impact; Approvals, Placements & Case Management and customers have seen an 80% increase in foster parent approval, 16% reduction in approval time and 20-40% social worker time saved.
Binti is a mission-driven software company based in Oakland, CA. We have raised our Series A led by Founders Fund and other investors include First Round Capital and Kapor Capital.
Since Binti’s launch in 2016, we have been scaling rapidly, launching modules with new agencies every week, facilitating efficient work, protecting children, and collecting critical data to improve outcomes in child welfare. Most of Binti’s customers in the government space have legacy data systems that are often antiquated but hold vital data for their operations. Federal requirements mandate that they collect key data on an ongoing basis, and also integrate and exchange data with other systems. Other systems have varying levels of clean data and technical experience. This role is critical to building and designing our API and data import processes, as well as having a strong voice in our overall data design and infrastructure. This includes designing and building out APIs and other Integration features to enable Binti to succeed in the current social welfare software ecosystem.
In order to support a platform that can be integrated with state systems which differ by state, we have built and maintain an API. As our Integration Engineer, you will own the technical design of our API
