About the Role:

StyleSeat is looking for an Analytics Manager with hands-on proven data analysis skills to help build StyleSeat’s analytics function from the ground up. You'll be deeply involved in driving decision-making across all aspects of the business, from exploratory analysis to better understand our customers, to building data pipelines that democratize a standard level of data across the company.

Reporting to the Head of Analytics, you will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to define and answer key questions, as well as enable robust logging and data pipelines. This position will also work closely with Finance and the Executive team to help develop top­-line metrics for the company.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the ideation and execution of product changes that drive growth, by partnering with Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing
  • Design A/B tests and analyze results to inform strategic decision making & next steps
  • Translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations for business and process improvement
  • Recommend data standards and best practices to improve the quality of data and speed to insight
  • Design and build product & business metrics for our corporate reporting; build dashboards in analytical tools for business stakeholders
  • Work with the Leadership team to identify and answer the most important questions driving the operations and growth of the business
  • Influence cross-functional teams through presentation of insight-based recommendations
  • Design and assist in building analytical infrastructure across the organization
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering team members to ensure data definitions and technical logic specifications align with business requirements
  • Routinely communicate metrics, trends and other key indicators to Leadership

What You Can Bring to the Table:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in business analytics, or other quantitative disciplines
  • Experience solving ambiguous data problems
  • Experience translating business objectives into actionable analyses, and explaining technical concepts and implications to a broad audience
  • Strong knowledge in SQL and an ability to write complex queries
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets
  • Knowledgeable in one or more leading analytical platforms
  • Proficiency in data modeling best practices
  • Proficiency in designing / building data pipelines or using ETL tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to explain technical/analytics concepts and implications to a broad audience
  • An ability to work with a diverse group of collaborators

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with Looker
  • Experience in an eCommerce, B2B2C marketplace, or B2C organization
  • Experience at a startup or late-stage growth company
  • Experience with JavaScript or Python would be beneficial
