The Ethics & Compliance Team’s mission is to enable Tally’s business strategy by fostering a culture of integrity, empowering smart risk taking, and working with Tallizens to deliver innovative, consumer-centric compliance solutions. Our team prides itself on cross-functional collaboration and championing our customer’s interests.
We’re seeking a Senior Ethics & Compliance Analyst to help: maintain and enhance our consumer compliance program, administer our state licensing requirements, and strengthen our ethics & compliance program. The ideal candidate will have some previous compliance/regulatory experience in the consumer financial services space, have exceptional organizational and project management skills, and be excited about helping to scale a program for Tally’s growth. The role will report to the Head of Ethics & Compliance (who is based in San Francisco, California) but may be remote.
Assist in maintaining, reviewing, enhancing and operationalizing Tally’s consumer compliance program
Provide support to prepare, maintain and renew US state licensing and corporate registration filings, and engage with state regulators
Respond to auditors, bank partners or other third parties in due diligence and compliance reviews
Administer processes to review and update company policies and procedures
Execute on compliance monitoring/testing activities and collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective, practical remediation solutions
Assist in administering ethics & compliance training programs
Support the company’s consumer complaint processes and processes to ensure related corrective actions are completed
Review consumer communications and marketing/advertising materials for regulatory compliance
Assist in implementing the company’s enterprise risk management program and tracking mitigation efforts
Maintain a deep understanding of Tally’s current and future product offerings, and state license portfolio, to provide practical advice on regulatory compliance issues
Assist in maintaining and continuously improving our ethics and compliance program
In this role we value:
4+ years compliance or regulatory experience in financial services with basic knowledge of US consumer lending protection regulations including one or more of: BSA/AML, ECOA, EFTA, FCRA, GLBA, TILA, UDAAP and related state laws
Strong project management skills, experience, and methodologies to run projects through to completion
Outstanding attention to detail with a gets-it-done attitude
Self-direction and a knack for spotting issues and solving problems
Ability to research and understand varying and complex regulations, but not afraid to ask questions when you don’t know the answers
A willingness to learn and take on new assignments
A passion to work collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals together
Ability to define risk, collect data, and draw effective conclusions
Ability to multi-task and handle variety of projects and responsibilities
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with data privacy requirements is a plus
