Job Description

Mighty Networks is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform ushering in a new era of creative business built on community. Its SaaS platform serves brands and creators “with a purpose” who want to bring their content, community, online courses, events, and memberships together in one place. 

With a Mighty Network, a brand or creator has their own online destination with their choice of features and the ability to charge for digital subscriptions and products under their own brand and instantly available on their own website and native mobile apps. 

The Opportunity

At Mighty Networks, our Product team is responsible for defining, designing, and evolving the rich, complex, and powerful platform on which our Hosts (what we call our customers) are building and growing their communities, online courses, events, memberships, and more.

We are hiring a Product Manager to help identify, define, and deliver the next features our product team will design and build in order to establish Mighty Networks as the easiest and most powerful platform for creators to create and grow organizations and businesses, powered by community. 

This person will work directly for our Director of Product Management and collaborate closely with the rest of the product and design team, the business team, and our product squads. This is a full-time fully remote role that needs to adjust to Pacific time zone working hours.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identifying and defining mission-critical features. Using customer input and market research, you’ll pinpoint and shape the next features we build in order to capitalize on our opportunity to serve creators and set them up for success building businesses powered by community.
  • Building expertise in your product area of focus. You’ll take an expansive view while also chasing down every detail to ensure we have a complete understanding of the product space and have explored the range of solutions to arrive at the best approach. 
  • Running the daily operations and capturing the long-term vision for a product squad. You’ll convene the squad for daily stand-ups, ensuring that designers and engineers are unblocked and equipped to meet target dates, as you keep the broader team updated on progress and timing. You’ll also own the squad’s backlog in Productboard, setting the roadmap and re-prioritizing as our strategy and customer needs shift.
  • Streamline workflow and communication. Working closely with the product, marketing, and customer advocacy teams, you’ll design, roll out, and iterate processes that ensure the efficient flow of work and communication throughout the product development cycle, from ideation and discovery, to design and development, to feature testing and release, to gathering feedback and measuring impact.
  • Contributing to the collective success of the Product Management team. From processing insights in Productboard so they’re linked to feature ideas, to helping lead the Mighty Product Council, you’ll work together with fellow PMs to establish the team as a customer-focused and data-informed source of insight for how the platform is used today and how it needs to evolve.

We’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years experience in Product Research, Product Design and/or Product Management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems and needs
  • Strong design and user sensibilities - ability to view product from the creator and member vantage point and motivated by the chance to improve lives with our platform
  • Aptitude for developing strong relationships with customers so we can easily partner with them for research.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and drive multiple research projects simultaneously
  • Proven excellence in your work and integrity in your interactions with others
