Razor-sharp presentation skills
Comfortable thinking on your feet
Strong understanding and ownership of MMM, MTA or other measurement frameworks
A focus on the both the practical significance and statistical significance of a model
A sound understanding of experiment design
Comfortable with Time Series & Bayesian regression models
A curiosity about the underlying data (EDA) that made a model say what it said
The ideal candidate has a degree from a Management Science field. To the left of that, a degree in Statistics but a passion for story telling over coding or the right of that, a degree with a research focus could work equally well.
5-10 years of experience in Consulting, Marketing Agencies or Software Customer Success.
Lifecycle experience in marketing decision making a huge plus: identify a spend opportunity, flight the decision, measure the result and optimize.
