Similar to a Shopify store, with a Mighty Network, a brand or creator has their own online destination with their choice of features and the ability to charge for digital subscriptions and products under their own brand and instantly available on their own website and native mobile apps.
The Director, Marketing will be tasked with translating our brand positioning and ideas into compelling marketing campaigns and they will mentor and manage a high performing team. That work could involve launching experiments and new channels, developing new content, and ensuring consistency of messaging across our marketing.
This position will report to the SVP of Marketing.
Collaborate with the SVP and CEO to turn insights and ideas into well defined strategies, experiments, and campaigns across channels.
More specifically, oversee our social media and content marketing efforts, ensuring we’re using these organic channels to their maximum potential and tying them back to our evolving strategy.
Manage marketing initiatives from end to end: draft initial briefs and proposals, identify the right team members to work on them, define timelines, and collaborate cross-functionally.
Mentor and manage a team of talented writers and marketers. Provide the coaching and context they need to ensure their work is impactful and meaningful.
Work with our VP of Marketing Ops and Analytics team to ensure that we are leveraging our data and learning quickly, and refine our strategies based on those learnings.
Qualifications & Experience
7+ years in a strategic, generalist marketing role with deep project management experience.
You are an experienced manager, with a background in retaining and growing a team.
You have experience translating one strategic message across channels: from email to SEO, social media to paid media, sponsorships, radio, podcasts, etc.
You have experience working cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams.
You have exceptional writing and communication skills.
You have experience analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data and the ability to extract actionable insights from a data set.
Any experience with the creator economy and marketing SaaS is a plus.
You are a creative, resourceful, and extremely detail-oriented problem solver comfortable with change and the dynamic environment of a rapidly growing startup.
You are motivated by bringing out the best in your team and consider yourself a “player-coach” — you are willing to work with your direct reports vs. merely delegating to them.
You are rapid with constructive and positive feedback and aim to build an environment of trust and open communication with your team and colleagues.
