About Uno Health

Uno Health matches low-income seniors to non-clinical services that meet their needs outside the doctor’s office, reducing their chances of ending up in hospital, and generating millions in revenue AND savings for our Medicare customers.

Job Description

About Uno

Millions of Americans have a right to financial programs like Medicaid, SNAP, and utility assistance. These programs offer significant material relief—and dramatically improved health outcomes—for the people who receive them. But enrolling in them is confusing and challenging, with complicated applications and arcane lists of required documents. That’s where Uno comes in.

Uno Health builds clever, accessible tooling for case management teams, helping them guide Medicare patients down the easiest possible paths to receiving their benefits. We’ve made it our mission to take care of all the messy processes and paperwork and to connect as many people as we can with critical government programs.

About the Role

Our IT Engineer role is an individual contributor with a company-wide impact. In this role you will own Uno Health’s information technology and be responsible for designing, maintaining and optimizing the performance and security of our corporate infrastructure. As the first IT hire, this role will have considerable latitude for proposing and implementing change at an organizational wide level. In addition, there will be plenty of opportunities for growth and on the spot learning. We are a remote-friendly company, but due to the responsibilities of this role, the ability to frequently work from our New York City office is required.

  • Automating account provisioning and deprovisioning using SSO and principles of least privilege
  • Institute a BYOD policy and enforcement mechanism to secure our company data and resources
  • Setting up infrastructure configurations to meet HIPAA and SOC2 compliance requirements along with processes to audit internal policies are being met

Other responsibilities for the role include:

  • Partner with People Ops to handle onboarding and offboarding as well as putting together a plan for automating this process
  • Creating and updating IT policies and procedures
  • Being a point of escalation for more complex hardware and software issues
  • Supporting and administering a wide range of market-leading SaaS apps, such as Jamf Pro, Atlassian and Google Workspace
  • Maintaining IT inventory of hardware/software/licenses
  • Configuring, monitoring and maintaining networking infrastructure

What you will bring

  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
  • Ability to work independently on technical projects. You have excellent project management skills and a strong ability to prioritize.
  • 4+ years of experience working in IT operations
  • A strong love for understanding stakeholders needs and gathering feedback
  • Experience in supporting a diverse and remote employee base
  • Strong working knowledge of Jamf Pro and G Suite both as a user and administrator
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Bonus if you have…
