The Company
Portex is building a procurement and payment operating system for the $4 trillion logistics industry - the backbone of the global economy. We’re building simple yet revolutionary freight procurement, payment and financing products to help businesses realize pricing efficiency and transparency in global trade.
Our founding team has backgrounds from Flexport, Uber, KeepTruckin, Procore and Morgan Stanley. We just raised a $8M+ seed round of funding from VC firms including Susa Ventures, Footwork, Cowboy Ventures and Base10, and a group of angels from founding teams at Uber, Affirm, Brex, Plaid, Cloudtrucks, KeepTruckin and more.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial Account Executive to join us here on the ground floor and work closely with our CEO. If you want to join a scrappy, high-performing team where you will witness your impact on the business from day one, we want to hear from you.
As one of our first Account Executives you’ll:
- Take the leading role in building an end-to-end sales playbook, spanning customer segmentation, ICP refinement and prospecting to deal close and share of wallet growth.
- Drive top-of-funnel sales opportunities both strategically and tactically. Design and implement outbound campaigns and iterate to drive results. Develop a growing pipeline through these efforts.
- Partner with our Product team to build a strong customer feedback loop and ensure our product evolves to meet customer needs.
- Become an expert on the competitive landscape and be able to clearly articulate our unique value proposition.
- Collaborate across the organization (we’re a small, lean team) and help shape an organizational culture of feedback, ownership and excellence.
We’re looking for someone who professionally:
- Has 3+ years of experience in a sales role where you consistently exceeded metrics.
- Has an entrepreneurial mind with a track record of prospecting and cold outreach, building a recurring pipeline, and closing leads.
- Is analytical with proven experience iterating on an end-to-end sales process to refine strategies and drive results.
- Is tech savvy and has experience with Salesforce, cold calling and email sequencing (a must!).Has experience in supply chain/logistics (bonus but not a requirement).
