Job Description

At Mixhalo, we are leveraging artificial intelligence and edge-computing technologies to change the way people consume – and share – content when they gather. We have developed an ephemeral, real-time audio streaming platform for live events – recognized by Apple, T-Mobile, and other industry giants as the future of live events. 

And we have now added AI-generated foreign language interpretation capabilities onto our platform. With Mixhalo Translate, we are bringing cutting-edge technical solutions to the multi-billion-dollar live events interpretation industry.

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will collaborate with business development, product teams, and other engineers to deliver unparalleled service to our enterprise clients. This will entail architecting deployment solutions for arena, stadium, and convention hall clients in the sports, music, and conference verticals, and traveling to those venues to (1) oversee the installation of our hardware and (2) monitor the performance of our software. While not working on specific deployments, you will work with other teams to build product documentation, perform competitive analysis, and QA.

Mixhalo is based in San Francisco, CA. While we have a preference for SF Bay Area candidates, we will consider US-based remote candidates as well. Remote candidates will have to occasionally travel to the HQ, in addition to any deployment travel.

Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Act as the technical subject matter expert, thoroughly understand products, features, functions, and benefits while being able to communicate effectively with all enterprise-level clients
  • Participate in client meetings to consult on deployment requirements for wireless networks and explain how Mixhalo will integrate with current infrastructure
  • Provide both onsite deployment and remote support when needed including during on-call shifts

Skills + Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a technical support role
  • Experienced knowledge of 802.11a/b/g/n wireless networks, and site surveys
  • Deep understanding of wired networks, including firewalls, routing/switching, VLAN's, etc.
  • CWNA and familiarity with cellular technologies, strongly preferred 
  • Scripting experience for automation is a bonus but not required
  • Resilient, tenacious, and willing/able to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Great relationship-building skills, and well-honed presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and set priorities
  • Startup experience is a plus

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position is USD $110,000 - $125,000. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to receive equity in the form of stock options.

To provide transparency to candidates, we share base salary ranges for all job postings regardless of state. We set standard base salary ranges for all roles based on function and level, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including skills, depth of and relevant work experience, location, and may vary from the amounts listed above. This job posting may span more than one career level.
