About Mon Ami

Mon Ami builds modern software solutions for aging and disability service providers across the country.

Job Description

THE COMPANY

Mon Ami is a trailblazing SaaS startup dedicated to revolutionizing the senior services market. With over $15M in backing from top VCs, we're transforming how social services are delivered to older adults and people with disabilities. Our mission is to empower agencies that provide essential services through Medicare, Medicaid and the Older Americans Act, enhancing the well-being of our most vulnerable disabled and older  Americans. Our customers are state and local governments and agencies they work with.

We value high performance and high enjoyment. In addition to having the privilege of working hard on a mission we believe in, we get to do it on a team we genuinely respect and like being around. Our hybrid/remote company of 30 people gets together in person 2x per year for board games, cooking competitions, and time outdoors. In between those retreats, we make time for 1-1 connections across the company. We have a truly flat hierarchy: ideas for innovation that come from our interns make it into the hands of our users.

Founded by two women of color, we know diversity in our team leads to higher quality decisions, so we continually invest in recruiting from under-represented groups and maintaining an inclusive environment.

  3. Support Entry Level Engineers: Support the work of other engineers to assist in the process.
  4. Build and maintain REST APIs to support data flows and integrations with external systems.

YOU:

  • Have have 3-5+ years of experience, having excelled in your role as a mid-level engineer in a fast-growing technology company
  • Have solid experience with Ruby on Rails – in particular, ActiveRecord, Arel and related tooling.
  • Have built and maintained quality APIs
  • Love exploration and experimentation and will always find the right tool for the job.
  • Interest or experience in using AI/LLMs for automation or intelligent data mapping.
  • Are effective at SQL and able to learn and adopt new dialects
  • Have a track record of applying excellent engineering practices including: refactoring, careful data design, and (most important) testing (we have a 1.4:1 test to code ratio).
  • Familiar and comfortable with Agile methodologies.
  • Ideally have experience with building products with PHI in a HIPAA environment.
  • Ideally have experience with multi-tenant SaaS products.
